Job description

About Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is an Australian founded digital healthcare company that is on a mission to solve the world’s biggest healthcare challenges - think fertility, and behavioural change around chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health.

Founded in Australia in 2019, we have now helped over 500K patients globally by combining technology, design and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support when they need it - wherever they are.

Our 5 clinics (Juniper, Pilot, Kin, Software, & Compound) focus heavily on personalising the experience for different demographics and are powered by a growing team across 5 countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines).

We’ve raised over AUD$160M in funding from Aussie and Silicon Valley investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and AirBnb. With plans to launch into several more markets, offline channels, and tackle new conditions.

About Compound

Compound is Eucalyptus’ latest digital clinic, focussed on men’s preventative health and performance optimisation (https://www.compound.co/)

At Compound, we see health and performance as an investment - an investment that grows through data-driven insights, gradual changes, and hard work. Our program is comprehensive because health is multifaceted. There’s no quick fix, no crash diet, and no miracle serum. The solution requires sweat, consistency, and perhaps some sacrifice. But the results are within reach.

We believe improvements in physical and mental fitness have a ripple effect on everything else — your relationships, your career focus — it all begins with an investment in yourself. Once you commit, our team is dedicated to ensuring you see returns. We expect our members to work hard; we’re under no illusion that this will be easy. But equipped with our high-touch support, our members see remarkable transformations in body composition, blood biomarkers and fitness ability that bleed into greater satisfaction in all other areas in their lives.

About the role (What you’ll be doing)

We’re looking for someone to take the helm of this exciting brand for men’s performance health and longevity. Your scope of decision-making will cover all operational aspects of the existing program, scaling the brand tenfold in order to grow its presence in Australia, and create and build the vision for how the brand’s offerings will evolve (e.g., stand up physical clinics).

  • Work in tandem with the Head of Services and Head of Strategy, to set a vision for Compound, aligning to our longer-term company strategy
  • Guide the business casing and launch of new elements on the program, including education, events, coaching, new conditions, diagnostics and introduction of tools for health monitoring & performance.
  • Scale the program from 50 to 1000+ members and make Compound the authority for men’s performance health in Australia
  • Manage and optimise the P&L
  • Model volumes and team capacity, hire as appropriate to match increasing scale
  • Analyse opportunities, set metrics for success and develop strategies to achieve them
  • Manage two teams — a delivery team responsible for day to day operations, and a build team, responsible for optimising processes, and building new experiences
  • Shape team culture and ways-of-working within teams, set up rituals for reporting & accountability, and collaborate with other stakeholders across the business
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning within your team
About you (Who you are)
  • Minimum 4-6 years experience in a strategy or operational role where you have designed, built and scaled operational processes
  • You are a strong first-principles problem solver, and you think in a structured way with a bias towards simplicity
  • You have commercial acumen and know how to maximise both patient and commercial outcomes. You make appropriate prioritisation decisions and trade-offs
  • You are articulate and communicate well with all stakeholders
  • You love to create impact through hard work, experimentation and overcoming constraints
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment where you will need to balance quality with velocity and a MVP mindset
  • You are a people leader; you know how to empower and get the best out of your teams
Why join Eucalyptus?
  • Our teams are incredibly passionate - Our talent bar is high and our work ethic is strong. You’ll get to stretch yourself everyday and work amongst people who care deeply about our patients. You’ll be given autonomy to tackle interesting problems and receive regular feedback from a supportive team
  • We move at incredible speed - You’ll work with team mates who build in the open by sharing their work freely, this helps us learn and iterate quickly so we can deliver high quality outcomes faster than our competitors. You’ll spend a lot of time outside of your comfort zone learning and iterating frequently, we wouldn’t have it any other way
  • We will invest in your career - You’ll get access to an annual professional development budget, mentors and buddies to ensure that you have the support you need to level up. You can expect regular performance and pay reviews as your career grows.
  • We are all owners - You’ll be given equity to ensure that you are able to benefit in the upside of your contribution in helping Euc grow. Your ideas will be valued regardless of your role, you will have ownership over the projects you work on which will feel both terrifying but extremely fulfilling
  • We play as hard as we work - From our annual Eucalympics (Olympic themed decathlon), monthly health & fitness allowances, free weekly barista coffees, funded social clubs, quarterly rooftop parties and weekly catered fireside chats, we know how to let our hair down!
  • We’ll have your back when you need us the most - You’ll be able to lean on a range of leave offerings to support you when needed, this includes: personal health and professional development leave, a generous parental leave that offers 20 weeks paid leave for a primary carer, additional miscarriage leave (see more on Kin Fertility’s #WeNeedMoreLeave campaign), as well as our Employee Assistance Program
