On the University of Queensland (UQ) Electrical Maintenance Contract, UGL is the lead contractor for preventative and corrective maintenance, and project work on various UQ sites throughout QLD. Based at UQ’s vibrant St Lucia campus, you will enjoy working at state-of-the-art facilities.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager, with an Electrical background, to take over the leadership of the UQ program which has seen significant growth.
You will be charged with driving program improvements and overseeing the general management of the contract and work orders while developing and leading a high-performing team culture.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee works to meet Safety, Time, Quality, and Budget expectations
- Champion a safety culture and implement safety processes and systems
- Provide ongoing leadership and support to the team
- Liaise directly with client to maintain high level customer service relationships
- Commercial management and administration in accordance with the contract
About you
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a positive approach and drive for continuous improved to grow with us. Your qualifications and experience should include;
- Electrical Trade certification, Ass Dip/Advanced Certificate in Electrical Engineering, and/or tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, developing teams
- Electrical experience in heavy industrial sectors is essential, with strong technical knowledge of industrial and utility HV and LV networks
- Experience in managing and delivering programs of work for external clients
