At Arup, you'll do more than work - you'll shape a better world.

About this role

As we expand our energy business to address the challenges of climate change, we are actively seeking skilled renewable energy professionals in Australasia. This pivotal role as a Project Execution Manager for Offshore Wind within our broader Energy, Water, and Resources portfolio involves leading diverse projects locally and internationally.

From conceptualization to detailed engineering, you will shape and oversee Offshore Wind initiatives, establishing industry best practices and standards. Responsible for project management, mentoring, and setting project pricing, your role extends to collaborating with energy team leaders for continuous project growth.

Based in Perth, Western Australia, you will contribute to building an Offshore Wind center of excellence, supporting team development in Western Australia and Victoria, and overseeing projects in Asia, particularly in Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. Your leadership will play a crucial role in the success and integrity of Offshore Wind engineering and design projects throughout Australasia.

What will I do?

  • Assume accountability for the ongoing and future performance of the Offshore Wind business within the Energy, Water, and Resources management team.
  • Develop and execute long-term plans aligned with Arup's overall business strategy, with a specific focus on the Energy strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Leaders to cultivate client relationships, secure project pipelines, and negotiate significant contracts.
  • Provide support in the development, design, and management of large, complex, and extended-duration projects, ensuring effective coordination of personnel, facilities, and resources within specified timelines and budget constraints.
  • Take responsibility for the execution of duties outlined in Arup's Quality Management System, particularly in Project Director and Technical leadership roles.

What will I bring?

  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated relevant industry experience in renewable energy generation within a consulting business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale energy projects and teams.
  • Membership in relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or provide evidence of significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
  • Ability to be creative, innovative, and deliver solutions within the constraints of project budgets.
  • Display a keen understanding of customer needs, both internal and external, and awareness of issues affecting effectiveness within a commercial environment.
