Stornoway has an excellent opportunity for a Key Programs Manager to join our Roads team in our Southern division, based in Brighton, on a full-time basis. The role will be responsible for overseeing the running of the mowing, spraying, shoulder grading and landscape maintenance programs, and will provide guidance and support to teams to enable prompt and responsive outcomes.
Reporting to the Base Services Manager, this role will direct 15+ employees split into small teams to deliver the outcomes required through the DSG contract. The role will include management of programs to ensure outcomes are delivered within tight timeframes, utilising available resources and employee direction in a high-paced environment to meet the deadlines for each program. This role includes an administrative component, including utilising our IMS and reporting software to comply with requirements.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following mandatory attributes:
- General Safety Induction White Card
- Full, unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence
- Traffic Management Ticket
- Rights to Work in Australia
Optional, but highly desirable attributes are;
- Side arm mowing experience
- Tractor ticket
- MR+ truck licence or higher
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Experience in the vegetation management industry
- Management experience
- Understanding of compliance, reporting and WHS
A fully maintained vehicle will be provided, along with other items such as a company mobile phone and laptop computer.
