About The Pathology Network West Program
The Pathology Network West (PNW) Program is an exciting transformation program spanning the four health services of the Parkville Precinct: The Royal Women’s Hospital (the Women’s), The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. This strategic Program will amalgamate the Pathology Services within the Parkville Precinct forming a new public pathology entity that will provide world-class, research-led public Pathology Services.
About the role
The Program Manager – Pathology Services will lead the establishment of Pathology Services for the Royal Women’s Hospital as a member of the newly forming entity as part of the PNW Program.
A regular day will see you:
- Work collaboratively with Parkville precinct partners and the West Metro Health Service Partnership to achieve the implementation of the Pathology Network West.
- Lead the Royal Women’s Hospital in the establishment and integration of the precinct Pathology Services into a new public pathology entity as part of the PNW Program
- Drive operational efficiencies and implementing service improvement
- Manage the contracts, partnership agreements and obligations related to Pathology Services required for the project
We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with extensive experience in multi-stakeholder management in complex environments to lead the implementation and establishment of this service.
You’ll bring with you:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional / business experience in health services
- Demonstrated experience in project management and implementation including development of strategic initiatives, monitoring project plans and performance, reporting, issue and risk management
- Experience in leading clinical service operations or clinical programs, in a hospital environment
- Demonstrated experience in change management
- Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise and multi-task whilst maintaining expectations / timelines
