Summary

We are seeking to hire a Program Manager for our Sustainability team. Working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business and receiving support from the Sustainability team, the Program Manager - Sustainability Disclosures will be responsible for program management and drafting the upcoming phase of Aristocrat's Sustainability disclosures for 2024 and beyond. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to mapping the sustainability journey of a globally recognized Australian-listed company in the games, entertainment, and technology sector.

With a proven background in drafting public communications, you will play a key role in documenting our sustainability journey. This involves shifting our focus to abatement planning after submitting near and long-term emissions reduction targets to the Science-based Targets Initiative. Additionally, there will be a transition from a voluntary sustainability reporting environment to mandated reporting in the coming years.

This is an exciting opportunity to document the execution of our decarbonization strategy at scale, highlighting the efforts of a team dedicated to leading in responsible gameplay and propelling Aristocrat to be a frontrunner on sustainability reporting within the ASX.

Operating within Aristocrat's Group Corporate Affairs function, the role will also provide support for internal engagement and education. Collaborating with functions such as Investor Relations, People & Culture, and Corporate Communications, the role aims to share our progress and cultivate engagement on sustainability issues.

What You'll Do

Reporting to Director - Group Sustainability, you will be responsible for project managing the drafting of Aristocrat's annual Sustainability Disclosures. In undertaking this responsibility, you will be required to:

  • Create a project plan, including calendar of events, key stakeholders, review dates & delivery dates for the disclosures

  • Partner with the following teams relating to the drafting of the disclosures:

  • Internal and external comms teams and sustainability stakeholders to design, review, edit, and finalise the disclosures for annual publication.

  • Sustainability team to document introductory statements from the CEO and Group GM Sustainability; ongoing changes in sustainability governance structure; responsible gameplay progress; reporting of responsible gameplay metrics; climate-related progress; and content alignment with disclosure reporting frameworks.

  • Privacy and Cybersecurity teams on yearly progress in these respective programs.

  • Global supply chain team to document progress on anti-modern slavery, minority sourcing and circular economy initiatives.

  • People and Culture team to document progress on talent; diversity & inclusion; Health, Safety & Wellbeing and community giving initiatives.

  • Contribute to periodic materiality assessments working with broader sustainability team.

  • Investor Relations and internal communications team on communication plan of disclosures post publication.

  • Work with Sustainability team, risk & Audit, legal, Finance to align Sustainability Disclosures with any forthcoming.

  • Champion Sustainability across the business, help to build internal engagement, support the delivery of communications about Aristocrat's Sustainability program.

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and 5 years' experience in communications or a similar field.
  • Experience developing public facing documents, ideally within and ASX-listed company.
  • Sustainability / ESG knowledge desirable, including understanding of corporate sustainability reporting and global sustainable development frameworks.
  • Outstanding verbal, presentation and written communication skills, with proven ability to build relationships, influence and advocate.
  • Capability to work across the business, and by forming high quality relationships, build and continuously improve our sustainability practices, whilst serving as a trusted business partner.
  • Ability to work flexibly and across a diverse global business.
