About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Program Manager to provide leadership, consultation, assessments, advice, and input that will provide better outcomes for children and families. This position will lead the Assessment and Service Connect (ASC) program - a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary approach developed as a new way of working between Child Safety Services, other government agencies and the non-government sector.
- Full Time opportunity to 19 July 2024.
- Level 7 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $110,913 - $115,538 plus super.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead a team to deliver high quality outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
- Actively participate in activities including meetings of ASC members and key stakeholders.
- Provide expert opinion, guidance, advice, assessments and consultation on referrals, processes, and service connections as part of the ASC team.

About You
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services).
- Professional registration (if required) and membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
- At least five (5) years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five (5) years’ experience working in similar roles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and build a strong, cohesive team in alignment with Act for Kids’ values and management experience within a service delivery context.
- Experience in developing strategic stakeholder relationships for the benefit of children, young people and families. Extensive local networks and knowledge are highly desirable.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
