The Opportunity

As our Program Officer, Emerge, you'll be at the heart of coordinating workshops and activities for high school students from different backgrounds. Your fantastic presenting and people skills will shine as you deliver talks both in schools and on UniSC campuses, inspiring students to aim higher. You'll be a guiding light, providing advice and information on pathways to university for those who need it most. And here's the best part – you'll be a crucial support for our Regional Engagement Coordinators, helping build strong connections with schools across Fraser Coast, the Sunshine Coast, and Moreton Bay.

Please note, this position requires frequent travel around the region and between campuses for meetings, events, school visits and activations. After hours and weekend work along with a flexible approach to work hours, will be required.

You will

• be responsible for the coordination, and assist in the delivery of, a range of high school workshops and programs focused on the skill development, career development and tertiary pathways; and
• provide advice on university pathways and opportunities to high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

About you

You will possess strong interpersonal, communication and liaison skills. With an engaging and confident demeanour, public speaking comes naturally to you. Your high level of organisation is evident as you take pleasure in demonstrating your administrative, program, and event management skills, consistently achieving successful outcomes.

You will possess:

• completion of a relevant degree, or possess an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education/training; and
• ability to exercise sound judgement in dealing confidently and sensitively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including disadvantaged.

Desirable

• experience delivering engagement or marketing communication with prospective students; and
• experience working with secondary schools.
