Job Description:
The Program Scheduler under direction of the Program Manager and Director – Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible to establish, manage, and maintain accurate integrated master schedule, whilst ensuring best practice scheduling. The programs delivered through the Major Programs Branch consist of multiple projects, and the Program scheduler will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be required to engage with each project team to ensure lead times, processes and dependencies are considered and managed effectively within the integrated master schedule.
The successful candidate should possess demonstratable experience in program scheduling for complex transformation programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work within a complex government organisation and with external vendors to establish, manage, and maintain a valid and accurate Integrated Master Schedule, while ensuring best practice scheduling.
- Where delivery dates are impacted the Program Scheduler will provide options to mitigate the impact.
- Work with the Program Manager, Project Manager and Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Decisions (RAID) Manager to closely manage dependency and scheduling issues that might impact the programs’ ability to complete the critical pathway.
- Generate performance indicators on the effectiveness of the program in meeting the planned commitments.
- Produce weekly status updates and monthly reports and charts on the programs progress and performance against the integrated schedule.
- Produce weekly task lists for the Program.
- Lead the development, documentation and implementation of project scheduling processes and records management.
- Actively support the development and maintenance of the RAID log and conduct schedule risk analysis for the Program.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships and drive cross team collaboration to support planning and scheduling activities.
- Facilitate planning workshops to assist with the assessment of implementation timelines and interdependencies.
