ABOUT THIS ROLE
YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Program Support Worker to join our Lismore team. This role is offered on a casual basis, to a maximum of 15 hours per week.
The role is responsible for providing support to the Northern NSW team across services and programs by:
- Assisting to set up and support program delivery including program preparation, meals prep, transport and program deliver under supervision
- Supporting the coordinator of programs and activities as required
- Supporting group participants to contribute meaningfully to program activities and provide support to achieve program outcomes
- Assisting with set up and closure of program sessions including transportation, purchasing, and catering and meal preparation
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant will have:
- Qualifications and/or demonstrated knowledge and experience in community services, early childhood education, youth work or community development and Program Support
- Strong understanding of the nature of community services work and the challenges faced by disadvantaged and Indigenous families and individuals
- Strong administration skills, including experience using Microsoft Office suite
This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:
- Completion of a national criminal history check
- A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, which includes Government recommended boosters.
