Programmatic Manager(Also known as Digital Activation Manager)
Role Overview
The Programmatic Manager (also know as Digital Activation Manager) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery across their clients, delivering all tier 1, 2 & 3 business reviews, as well as heavily assisting the Digital Activation Director with quarterly business reviews, product development, and assistance with new business with regards to programmatic. This role must ensure the performance of all client accounts within their team and that clients’ investment delivers against their business objectives whilst also building exceptionally strong relationships with them. The Programmatic Manager will be responsible for the response overall quality of the programmatic response to brief, define campaign KPI’s and measurement of the campaign alongside the delivery of the programmatic post campaign report.
The Programmatic Manager is also responsible for supporting, coaching, developing and overall management of their team to ensure client needs are met.
Key Outputs
• Ensuring the team is executing a smooth implementation and delivery of programmatic campaigns.
• Timely and accurate delivery of ad trafficking
• Excellent data analysis skills and ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to design test and learn framework.
• Management of Senior Digital Activation Executives on a day-to-day basis – identify relevant training for them.
• Responsible and accountable for output of their team
Team & Communication
• Developing strong working relationships with their immediate team and wider agency team
• Developing strong working relationships with line manager and able to manage upwards.
• Excellent communication skills with close monitoring & escalation of issues in a timely manner.
Client
• Timely and professional client communication (for example: answering a client email within 24 hours with a courtesy response on all that require additional time).
• Works autonomously to meet client objectives and deliverables via innovation.
Technical
• Excellent programmatic and/or ad operations experience. Knowledge with significant experience in delivering programmatic campaigns to achieve client results.
• Deep understanding of platform features and how it can deliver outcomes for clients.
• Deep understanding and experience in working with SSP and implement SPO
• Strong ability in designing and implementing testing framework.
• Excellent data analysis, insights and reporting ability translated into actionable improvements for client outcomes.
• Keeps up to date and has an opinion on industry trends and beta products for testing.
• Passes platform certification: DV360, CM360, Verizon, Amazon, TTD
Skills & Experience
• Preferably a university degree or higher education qualifications.
• This roles requires a relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of qualification.
• 3+ years’ experience in a programmatic or ad operations role in a media agency or in house
• Experience in managing client communication and relationship as well as a portfolio of clients.
• Proficient in using: Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Certified in using any of the following programmatic platforms: DV360, Verizon, TTD, Amobee, Mediamath, AppNexus.
• Experience using CM360 for trafficking and reporting purposes. Experience in other adservers (Sizmek, Flashtalking, Celtra) nice to have but not essential.
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian Media Landscape
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of digital marketing/advertising.
