The role requires prior experience in a similar level of technical support or project delivery role. Strong technical skills focusing on CISCO networks and Next Generation firewalls are essential. Additionally, the ability to articulate complex technical challenges to clients either over the phone or via written communication face to face. The role will also require the ability to mentor junior members of the team.
The applicant will be required to analyse user needs, produce required documentation and system plans, encode, test, debug, maintain and document programs and applications.
Descriptions of employment duties:
- Researching, consulting, analysing, and evaluating system program needs
- Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures, and methods.
- Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors and faults in an application programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.
- Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system design, and technical specifications in accordance with quality-accredited standards.
- Writing, updating, and maintaining technical programs, end-user documentation, and operational procedures.
- Providing advice, guidance, and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costing for recommending software purchases and upgrades.
- Managing testing and automation of software and application deployments.
- Collecting and analysing operational metrics.
- Developing continuous improvement and continuous delivery strategies across system design and software development.
- The creation and development of the tools required to support software and its management and security.
- Performing Forensic analysis to identify anomalies or threats.
- Encryption and decryption
- Identification and mitigation of risks that may affect the performance and security throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Experience required:
At least 2 years of full-time professional experience after completing relevant bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Responsibilities
Support - Operate as an escalation point and management of efficient task prioritization.
Technology leadership - Maintain a regular cadence with key technology partners to ensure you are across product roadmaps, new solution offerings and the latest developments in the market.
Promote - promote knowledge sharing and conduct enablement sessions to ensure that technology updates are disseminated throughout the business.
Contribute to the development of reference architectures, document templates and work instructions for areas where you have technical expertise. Identify where efficiencies can be achieved.
