Auspin has a proven technical team currently based in Pajingo Gold Mine continuously adding new ounces for the mine, apart from the technical capability, Auspin’s drilling division is led by a highly experienced team, currently it has 3 exploration rigs at Pajingo Mine.
The role is based in our Townsville Head Office working an 5/2 roster, 8-hour days.
About the role
Reporting to the Principal Business Analyst, this position is responsible for the project and corporate reporting for the Auspin Drilling & Exploration operation within Yuxin Group. This role will ensure compliance and reporting for the following key areas: revenue and cost tracking on Auspin’s client, capital projects; fixed assets; tenements; stock and inventory accounting.
Duties and responsibilities
- Cost tracking on project level
- Manage capital reporting and compliance to Budget
- Manage project budgets and project reports
- Provide detailed management reports and cost analysis to internal stakeholders to enable effective review and understanding of operating costs and underlying cost drivers.
- Assist in ATO and other government authority’s compliance such as preparation of BAS, FBT, payroll tax, fuel tax rebate, mine rehabilitation fund (MRF) levy, withholding tax, royalties for the group
- Assist in the maintenance of the Master Chart of Account and project hierarchy to meet business needs
- Assist with external and internal audits
- Identify improvements in internal controls and review control effectiveness
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally possess;
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
- Completed CPA, CA, or ICA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting and finance
- Experience in preparation of project cost based reports
- Large ERP system skills
- Previous experience with SAP Fiori
