Client

Our client is an established, market leading consulting firm in high end design and construction industry. They are an Australian organization with over 150 years of industry expertise and multiple offices in major international cities.

I'm recruiting for an experienced Project Accountant with an in depth understanding of revenue recognition to join a high performing team, based in the Sydney CBD.

Main Responsibilities:

As the 2IC for the Regional Finance Manager, your responsibilities will be as below but not limited to:

• Manage WIP reporting for the region with relevant analysis, commentary and business partnering with the project owners.
• Support the business with analysis and reporting on projects up to $20m.
• Prepare and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the region.
• Oversee and review month-end reporting responsibilities including project focused revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and payroll journals.
• Mange the engagement external audit and reporting obligations.
• Business partner with project managers to track spend and completion, identify risks and provide insights for management.
• Guide and mentor junior members of the local and overseas finance team
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
• Aid and guidance to AP, AR, and Payroll staff.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Candidate Profile and skills required

• CPA/CA qualified with over 5 years of total relevant experience
• Ability to work within a team and contribute to the culture
• High attention to detail and ability to follow outlined procedures
