Due to recent growth, we have a fantastic opportunity available for a Project Accountant.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end finance aspects of our construction projects across the Hawthorne Group. Working hand in hand with the operational project teams, you will take ownership of the financial aspects of our projects ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties Include:
- Attend regular meetings with key stakeholders to address commercial and accounting issues affecting project costs.
- Provide detailed cost analysis for multiple projects, contributing to effective capex decision-making.
- Management reporting, commentary and analysis – covering month and year end reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide advice around actuals v forecasts, bring the numbers to life and tell a story!
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and project accounting reports for timely distribution to senior stakeholders.
- Act as the key contact with suppliers, proactively addressing invoice and financing issues.
- Support the Group with ad-hoc queries and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll reporting/journalling.
