Key Responsibilities as a Project Accountant:
- Prepare claims, invoices, and manage accounts receivable.
- Handle external client matters related to claims and invoicing.
- Analyze monthly management accounts and provide commentary.
- Forecast project finances and present cash flow analysis.
- Provide financial analysis and support to the business.
- Manage the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review payroll and reconcile to projects.
- Act as a business partner to operations.
- Maintain internal controls and prepare audit files (project set up, customer set up, etc.)
- Support the wider management team and manage tax submissions (BAS).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with CA/CPA qualification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in project or company accounting.
- Background in invoicing is a preference
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle large volumes of data as well as working in a fast paced environment
- Coming from a Big 4/Mid-tier background is a plus
- Finance systems experience essential
