The team also works with the to facilitate and provide feedback for CAHS policies that have practical implications for CAMHS.About the RoleAs the Project and Policy Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies that provide clinical and operational governance across the breadth of CAMHS Directorates with a goal of improving child mental health outcomes and ensuring our services meet the needs of young people and their families.In this role, you will support investigations and analysis of evidence and data related to CAMHS policies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape policy direction and ensure CAMHS representation in state-wide policy. You will review existing higher level policy documents and legislation and proposed policies against governmental objectives and will support with preparation of written documentation such as policy papers and submissions, discussion papers and reports, ministerial responses, and Policy recommendations.You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations pertaining to clinical and corporate governance such as equal opportunity and disability access and maintain up-to-date knowledge of policy or legislative changes impacting operations for mental health services, such as the Mental Health Act and Office of Chief Psychiatrist’s Standards of Clinical Care.How to ApplyWe welcome your application via the ‘Apply for Job’ button at the bottom of this page.
