Finnis Architecture and Interiors, a leading and award winning architectural firm specialising in innovative design and construction, is seeking a seeking an enthusiastic, creative, detail orientated and experienced Registered Architect (or Graduate of Architecture) to join the team.
The successful applicant will play a key role in planning and construction process, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.
The multi-disciplined Architect will have a flexible and proactive approach that can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working both individually and as a team from creation to construction with an emphasis on preparation of a Town Planning submission and Construction and Tender Documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural plans and construction documents whilst ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and project specifications
- Manage projects and liaise with project team to meet project deadlines, budgets and client expectations
- Report to Director or assigned project leader on brief, deadlines and progress
- Maintain relationships with project managers, consultants, clients, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and construction processes
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and provide guidance to contractors
- Assist and collaborate with wider team in Design and Interiors, when required
- Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure adherence to best practices and legal requirements.
- Participate in team and office meetings
Required Experience
- Collaborate with team to streamlining workflows and client experience
- 4+ years architectural experience with a focus on town planning and construction documentation (Experienced Graduate or registered architect)
- Completed relevant qualifications
- Proven experience managing projects independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, NCC and Victorian state and local planning policies
- Proficient knowledge of Revit software
- Experience using Lumion (or similar), desirable but not required
- Proven experience in luxury residential/multi residential and/or commercial projects from planning to documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding work ethic and able to work individually and as part of a team
- Flexible, adaptable, capable of working on multiple projects and under pressure
- Strong all-round project experience from planning to documentation
- Australian Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Permanent Australian work rights with no restrictions
