About the role:


With the recent launch of our next exciting venture – NeXTimber by Timberlink, a specialised Cross Laminated Timber/Glue Laminated Timber (CLT/GLT) plant to be built in South Australia, our thriving business will continue to evolve, becoming one of the most modern sawmilling manufacturing businesses in Australia – a simply amazing time to join the Timberlink family and showcase your outstanding manufacturing and leading capabilities.


As this world class facility now commences production, we have an opening for a Project Co-Ordinator - NeXTimber by Timberlink based at our head office in Scoresby.


This permanent, full-time position is a newly created roles in our business and is a crucial role in ensuring the overall success of NeXTimber projects, linking the front-end sales contract through the detailed design and fabrication modelling stages to the back-end manufacturing and supply. The role will be multifaceted with direct engagement across a range of internal Timberlink working groups and external project stakeholders.


Reporting to the Customer Excellence Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the NeXTimber sales team at the contract handover stage, technical and CAD team through detailed design, procurement, production planning, manufacturing, and logistics teams through project delivery. You will also be responsible for the information interface between these internal NeXTimber teams and the external project teams including client project managers, architects, engineers, builders, and 3rd party product suppliers.


Your key responsibilities will include:


• Ensuring that the conditions of the contract, project specifications and project documentation are achieved throughout the documentation and fabrication phases
• Resolution and escalation of design issues that require input from external design consultants to ensure Timberlink completed our scope or works / within the project timelines
• Co-ordinate multi-discipline inputs prepared by consultants and work with the TLA detailing team to develop accurate models for fabrication
• Develop weekly schedules for the design and drafting teams to ensure deadlines will be achieved
• Work with external vendors to schedule 3rd party items such as fixings and connections to meet project requirements
• Work with cross functional leads and contribute to the development of SOPs to develop, train, and implement business process to ensure data transfer across the design, manufacturing, and project delivery interfaces and to ensure quality and consistency of project documentation is maintained


To be considered for this role, you will have:


• Formal degree/training in Project Management highly regarded
• Experience within Engineered Wood Products industry or similar
• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry with exposure to complex projects through the design and construction phases with demonstrated understanding of the various challenges that design and build teams face.
• Ability to navigate CAD Platforms (AutoCad /Revit /Autodesk suite)
• Ability to navigate digital project management platforms (BIM360 / Aconex / Trimble)
• Sound analytical skills and ability to make a logical conclusion
• Strategic critical thinker


The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary based upon experience and performance. This role will also require some travel on occasion to help support the execution of projects.
