THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY -
Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Cost Engineer / Analyst responsible for the tracking and reporting of costs and cost performance and other key information on allocated projects.
Your overall responsibilities –
- Maintain and develop Project Controls procedures to support efficient Earned Value Management of projects;
- Responsible for the development and control of project budgets and costs as per WBS / CBS;
- Preparation of Progress Claims, project variations and provide input into invoicing;
- Working with planning team to develop baseline reports, and Earned Value Management reports and forecasts;
- Preparation of Weekly & Monthly Status Reports, cashflow forecasts, cost S-Curves etc;
- Establish and monitor Productivity Norms, review periodically and work with estimating teams to maintain estimating norms;
- Reporting against approved budget cost, schedule & performance criteria
- Analysing non-conformities and recommending corrective actions after cause and effect analysis
- Assist with preparation of variations, and perform cost risk analysis as required;
To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and qualifications-
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, with Mechanical or Structural preferred however all disciplines will be considered;
- At least 5 years in a similar engineering role;
- Strong experience in engineering design and construction phases;
- Experienced with Earned Value Management reporting and its implementation;
