Villa Bambini is a purpose-built service who has a playful yet organic space that allows children to engage with their surroundings and connect with nature. The service is privately owned and operated.
The extensive use of timbers and natural organic colours allow the building to maintain it's strong heritage history while breathing new life into it's spaces.
Our Philosophy is a play based emergent curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and was recently rated Exceeding by the National Quality Standards. This is heavily incorporated into our curriculum and natural environment.
About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Centre Manager who has had previous experience in a similar role, to lead and support our team of Educators in our boutique centre. We are looking for an innovative and passionate professional to support or team, children and families.
The role will be commencing in March 2024 for a period of 12 months with the potential to be ongoing. You will have the full support of our Operations Manager as well as our Centre Director.
The Role
We are looking to appoint a passionate and experienced Assistant Centre Manager who will support the Centre Manager in overseeing the operation and program of the Centre. The key requirements of the role are as follows:
- Assist in leading a large team of experienced Educators to provide high quality care to children;
- Understand and be responsible for the performance of the Centre,
- Establish respectful relationships with families, the local community, and local schools,
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all standards and legislative frameworks.

Skills and experience
About you
We are seeking someone who can truly be an ambassador for our Centre, and our vision and values. Essential requirements for the position are:
- Experience leading and managing team of Educators,
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care,
- Current employee Working with Children Check,
- Completion of Child Protection course,
- Current approved first aid and CPR certificate,
- Current approved anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates,
- Effective verbal and written communication skills,
- Experience building and managing a team,
- Understanding of legislation and National Quality Standard requirements,
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and current pedagogy that influences practices,
- Open to learning, clear communicator and well organised.
