About the role

UGL are currently seeking a suitably qualified Project Controls Lead to work on a Brownfield Construction Project in Darwin, Northern Territory. The role will commence in May 2024, with an estimated 9–12-month duration. You will either be a local Darwin resident or Fly in Fly out, working on a 2/2 Roster.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Project Controls Administrator to play a crucial role in our brownfields construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Project Controls systems, ensuring effective scheduling, cost management, and performance measurement.

Key responsibility areas

·       Develop and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.

·       Monitor and analyze project costs, providing accurate and timely reporting to project management.

·       Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant data for project performance measurement and reporting.

·       Implement and manage change control processes, tracking changes to scope, schedule, and budget.

·       Generate and distribute regular project status reports, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.

·       Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts, providing input on cost control strategies.

·       Ensure compliance with Project Controls policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

·       Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and address potential issues proactively.

About You

You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create an environment where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

·       5 years’ experience in a similar role

·       Formal qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management (desirable)

·       Proven experience in Project Controls on brownfields construction projects.

·       Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, SAP, MS Project, or similar tools.

·       Experience in maintenance or shutdown projects
