About the Role
The Agency are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the team. This is a Full-time ongoing position that is located in Sydney. This role sits in the Research, Evaluation and Statistics section (Digital Solutions Division) and reports to the Director of Research, Evaluation and Statistics.
The Project Coordinator (APS6) role involves accountability for performing complex work that facilitates, supports, and drives research activities across various work areas within the Agency, with minimal supervision. This role requires the application of both initiative and judgment in utilising project and operations management methodologies to offer technical, professional, or policy guidance concerning complex issues.
The Project Coordinator is expected to demonstrate robust stakeholder engagement abilities, taking responsibility for collaborating with essential internal and external stakeholders to comprehend, negotiate, and address complex, challenging, or sensitive matters that emerge within a research project. You will be required to develop additional section-specific knowledge to be able to successfully deliver health/ digital outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply their knowledge and swiftly develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, which is crucial for this role.
Skills and Experience
The following Knowledge, Skills and Experience would be beneficial to hit the ground running in this role:
- Bachelor degree in Health, Project Management or relevant field qualifications.
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional).
- Experience working in Project Management/ Coordination within a Health or Research setting.
- Able to work to established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes by working autonomously and under limited directions.
- Have previously provided support to monitoring, tracking and reporting on the project status, program and operational deliverables to ensure schedules, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management to achieve project/ operational goals and the ability to anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Have experience developing and maintaining project risk and issue registers; identifying and reporting variances and issues; providing assistance and coordination for risk mitigation, response, and treatment actions.
- Previous exposure to recruitment, procurement and contracting processes would be beneficial.

Salary: $90,823 to $102,464 (excluding 15.4% Superannuation).
