About the role:
To ensure that the group has an effective, efficient project controls framework and lead a team that manages cost estimations, risk management and project controls (cost, scope, and schedule) and provide assurance and associated reporting.
In the Project Cost & Risk Manager role, you will responsible to;
- Provide leadership to a support team that provides project controls, cost estimation and risk management across SEQ project delivery.
- Establish, implement and maintain an efficient and streamlined system of effective project controls framework, guidelines and tools ensuring full compliance with Queensland Rail's enterprise wide Project Management Framework.
- Provide continuous compliance and assurance for financials, schedule, scope and risk for the SEQ Project Delivery area.
- Ensure appropriate competencies and capabilities are in place within SEQ Project Delivery by identifying skills gaps, developing and providing training.
- Conduct internal and external benchmarking against best practice project controls and risk management practices
- Report on the health and performance of SEQ projects/programs to Project Managers and relevant stakeholders.
We are looking for;
- Leadership and communication skills to internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of skill providing commercially focused outcomes in a project management environment within set timeframes and budgets.
- Extensive knowledge of project controls, cost and risk management concepts and practices.
- High level of leadership skill in a large and complex organisation, focused on building a customer focused and performance-based culture within the team.
- High level of systems and process management skills and an understanding of their potential impact on business.
- High level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills across a diverse range of complex issues.
- High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills that build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
