Project Manager - Risk Transformation

Our large, commercial client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with experience in Risk Transformation, Governance, and Compliance to join their organisation on an initial 12 month contract with high likelihood of extensions. 

In this results-oriented role, you will lead the upgrade of a risk management platform, working within the organisation's Risk area to manage complex projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and detailed budgets.
• Lead and motivate high-performing project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Work closely with risk and governance professionals to define key requirements and optimize workflows within the new platform.
• Continuously monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report to stakeholders on key metrics and milestones.
• Track project progress meticulously, analyze data for informed decision-making, and provide regular, clear reports to stakeholders.
• Oversee all project deliverables, enforcing rigorous quality standards and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Implement management oversight and key frameworks and policies that define and govern the approach to risk Management.

Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and frameworks is advantageous (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
• Experience working in a risk and governance environment preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
