Job Description:We currently have an opportunity for a
Project Delivery Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the delivery of projects released by the Australian Department of Defence through their Estate Works Program.You will utilise your expertise and knowledge to manage a diverse portfolio of projects across the Riverina Region and in accordance with The Downer Standard, Defence requirements (including Defence HOTO) and with Sustainability and Zero Harm at forefront of delivery.
Responsibilities:The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Delivering commonwealth projects across the Defence Estate in Albury Wadonga Military Area, RAAF Base Wagga, Kapooka Military Area and surrounding sites.
- Undertake project based activities across the project lifecycle including Scope and Feasibility, Design, Procurement, Delivery and Defects Liability phases.
- You will deliver In accordance with the Defence HOTO and Downer Delivery Management Methodology, supported by Downers Project Support and Delivery Governance and Leadership Group.
- The position requires the individual to plan, organise, and prioritise their work to meet project deadlines and provide timely and accurate information to all stakeholders.
- You will have regular interface with the Defence client, Defence end users, consultants, contractors and internal Downer contract personnel.
- Delivery of projects will include scheduling and management of meetings, development of reports, meeting minutes, recommendations and other formal documentation for internal and external audiences.
- The position will manage all budget, scope and quality change in accordance with required change management processes.
You will ensure compliance with Downer's Zero Harm/WHS policies including abiding by Downers Cardinal Rules.
Qualifications:What you'll bring- Experience in project management, asset management, engineering, design management or similar construction or business related fields.
- Ability to analyse and apply building, construction, engineering and commercial codes, standards and rules including the BCA and Australian Standards.
- Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire a strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Ability to manage a diverse stakeholder group including expectations.
- Strong understanding or ability to rapidly acquire a strong understanding of the Defence Estate Resources Information Kiosk (ERIK) and respective Defence guidelines and standards.
- Sound commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and make business recommendations.
- Relevant construction and/or engineering industry certification and /or tertiary qualifications (preferred).
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory).
- Ability to read, interpret and input financial forecasting data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
