PhD Industry Research Scholarships at University of Adelaide

Five PhD scholarship opportunities are now available for a range of exciting industry led research projects spanning multiple discipline areas including Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Physics, Telecommunications, Robotics and Human Factors.

Available projects:

• Model Malicious Drone Swarm Behaviours and Devise Counter Strategies
• Target Motion Analysis from Doppler sensors
• Multistatic and bi-static localisation of underwater targets
• Optimization of Superconducting Devices by Mean of Quantum Field Theories
• Space Domain Awareness Object Characterisation
• Development of broadband electronic warfare sensors for signal detection and direction finding

Total annual stipend amount • $50,000 p.a. tax free*.
 

Eligibility criteria

• Australian citizens & Permanent Residents, New Zealand citizens are encouraged to apply.
• International students currently studying in Australia and are from regions eligible to attain a defence security clearance (UK, US, Canada) are also welcome to apply.

Industry Research Program

All students supported under the Defence Trailblazer initiative will participate in the Defence Trailblazer Industry Research Program (IRP).

Candidates will be located on-site at both university and industry offices for at least 60 FTE days (prorated for eligible Masters candidates), to enable professional development opportunities in an industry setting.
