Role: Project / Development Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Project / Development Manager who is looking to take ownership of projects from concept to completion and drive the development management and delivery of new projects.
A StorHub Project / Development Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and exceptional organisational skills.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
The role will require interstate travel, typically along the East Coast of Australia.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Project Management
- Arrange fee proposals from consultants
- Engage consultants on PSA
- Manage consultants to get DA’s submitted on time
- Approval and tracking on consultant invoices
- Prepare tender documentation
- Prepare Principal Project Requirements
- Review tender submissions
- Appoint the builders
- Administer the building contract
- Maintain variation registers
- Review variation costs
- Assess extensions of time
- Attend PCG & Design meetings, producing agendas and minutes
- Work with the QS for monthly inspections and reports for bank drawdowns to pay builders progress claims
- Manage the builder and their program to ensure all is on track
- Manage the defects during the DLP
- Handover process with builder for all warranties, final drawings, operation manuals etc.
- Issue practical completion certificates.
- Ensure builder has received all approvals, certifications required and occupation certificates.
- Work with the operations team in preparing store for opening.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Development Management
- Assisting the Acquisition and Development Managers on new projects
- Assisting with due diligence on new projects, organising and chasing consultants,
- Maintaining and updating the design brief
- Establishing, maintaining and updating principal project requirement base document
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management/Development Management experience preferred or experience in, Quantity Surveying, Architecture and Structural Civil Engineering.
- Experience managing projects from concept to completion.
- Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
