With a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), our client is at the forefront of driving innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Project Development Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of wind, solar, and BESS projects from inception to completion, driving growth and innovation in renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of new wind, solar, and BESS project opportunities, including site selection, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, regulatory agencies, local communities, and project partners, to facilitate PROJECT DEVELOPMENT and permitting processes.
- Manages project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budgetary constraints.
- Coordinates with internal teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and procurement, to advance PROJECT DEVELOPMENT activities and secure necessary approvals.
- Conducts market analysis and stays abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments to identify new business opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.
- Negotiates land leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), interconnection agreements, and other contracts necessary for PROJECT DEVELOPMENT and implementation.
- Oversees environmental and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and obtaining necessary permits and approvals for PROJECT DEVELOPMENT.
- Collaborates with project finance team to secure project financing, grants, incentives, and other sources of funding to support PROJECT DEVELOPMENT and investment.
- Manages community engagement and stakeholder outreach efforts, fostering positive relationships and addressing concerns to promote project acceptance and support.
- Represents our client in industry forums, conferences, and events, showcasing their expertise and thought leadership in renewable energy PROJECT DEVELOPMENT.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success (minimum 5 years) in PROJECT DEVELOPMENT roles within the renewable energy industry, with experience in wind, solar, and BESS projects.
- Strong understanding of PROJECT DEVELOPMENT processes, including site selection, permitting, environmental assessment, and interconnection.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, drive project innovation, and deliver results in a dynamic and competitive market environment.
