Job description

Responsibilities
  • Development of professional relationships at all levels to maximize penetration and create ongoing opportunities.
  • Manage communication flow to ensure a clear understanding of project progress.
  • Manage interaction with a wide variety of Government Departments, both State and Federal, to gain relevant approvals.
  • Selection of relevant consultants/experts to provide supporting services to specific project needs.
  • Manage output and quality of providers, community consultation when required.
  • Active involvement in relevant industry forums to raise company profile.
  • Securing options and leases and site-specific permits.
  • Site Identification and initiation.
  • Project status reporting regularly internally and as required to meet client needs.
  • Land Lease negotiations and acquisitions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in Project Development, particularly in securing land agreements and navigating the environmental and planning due diligence process.
  • Knowledge of town planning and the development approval process at both state government and council levels.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating land leases, acquisitions, and site-specific permits.
  • Track record of managing project budgets and schedules.
Desirables
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies or associations.
  • Additional certifications in environmental assessments or project management.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project Management: Creation and management of project management programs and budgets.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat programs.
  • Industry Involvement: Active involvement in relevant industry forums to enhance the company's profile.
  • Document Control: Excellent document control and filing skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a diverse and multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, accountants, procurement, and specialist consultants.
