PM-Partners is currently seeking an experienced Project Directorto assist our client with a major systems replacement and business transformation program. These mission critical systems focusing on Asset Management and Predictive Maintenance Support will be rolled out for national use upon successful delivery.
This project is currently at the end of tender stage with a product selected and vendors shortlisted. You will be driving this tender process through to completion, pulling time poor teams into rigorous workshops, driving the elicitation of quality requirements and information needed to complete a thorough and accurate capture of details that will best inform the successful completion of this tender process.
Your next role will be bringing a large group of senior stakeholders together to gain collective approval before embarking on implementation.
This role is very Stakeholder Heavy and requires senior leadership akin to that of a respected football coach. You will be working with teams that are understaffed, overworked, time poor and also currently going through an organisational restructure.
This is not an easy task by any means. The stakeholders and delivery teams hearts are in it, they have the information and ability to deliver it, they need you to bring them together, being sensitive of their situation while driving forward positive outcomes.
Daily rate: $1400 - $1500 inclusive of super.
Location: 3 days on-site (Sydney CBD and Burwood offices), with 2 days WFH flexibility
Duration: Initially 2 months + 12 month extension for the right person!
To be considered for this position you will have experience and strengths in the following:
- More than 15 years’ experience leading large, cross-functional teams as a Senior Project and Program Manager.
- Strong experience working with complex, government / public sector environments
- Highest level stakeholder management with strong, positive people leadership abilities
- Extensive experience with customer led projects using customer journeys, data and insights
- Experience managing large scall Asset Management solution implementations (highly desirable)
- Data and Information management experience across complex system transformations
- Strong training and understanding of program / project management frameworks and methodology (Agile, Prince2, PMP etc...)
- Experience in leading the replacement of legacy technologies
- Experience in the operational side of ICT platforms
- Fluent with multiple delivery approaches
- Organisation-wide transformation or improvement program/project planning
- Proven ability to develop program benefit models supported by metrics
- Program level departmental financial management and reporting
- Excellent Vendor Management experience
- Experience leading large, cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and third-parties in order to manage integration points
- Strong personality in driving team spirit.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
