Meateng designs and manages projects for meat processing facilities (Meateng does not manufacture equipment). Our focus is on beef, sheep and smallgoods. We encompass the complete spectrum from the arrival and unloading of livestock, to the dispatch of carcass or cartons of meat. We understand the importance of getting the process layout, labour productivity and product flow right; then move onto building and facility design, refrigeration, electrical, piped services, effluent, render and amenities. Much of our work is incremental for existing clients with capacity upgrades or extensions for: slaughter, boning, cold store, render. From time to time a complete greenfield facility is required.
We currently have two positions available to work in a small project team, alongside other Project Engineers, designers and external consultants. A high level of organisational and project management skill is required as well as efficient and effective communication skills. Applicants must be able to perceive and manage the ‘overview’ of ‘complex’ projects for the interrelated nature of: process, services, building and site development with buildings, roads, dams and stock yards.
