SalaryMetromotion is an engineering design and project management company servicing the Australian food manufacturing industry. The company has a position available for recent mechanical and/or chemical/process engineering graduates seeking a long term career in the food industry.
The successful candidate will need to possess:
- Degree qualification in mechanical or process/chemical engineering.
- Good formal engineering skills with an aptitude to apply these skills in a practical manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and naturally inquisitive.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for:
- Sourcing and designing appropriate process/mechanical solutions.
- Developing project budgets and managing project costs.
- Planning and co-ordinating project installation.
- Working co-operatively as part of a project team.
- Communicating with customers' employees at all levels of their business.
- Liaising with other consultants, suppliers and contractors.
- Participating in site based, hands on, installation and plant commissioning tasks.
Typical tasks would include:
- Design and installation of new food manufacturing systems
- Modifying of existing systems to accommodate new products.
- Upgrading of existing systems to address capacity shortfalls or improve efficiency.
