Employment Type: Full-time/Fixed-term (12 months)

You will join us as a Project Engineer in our friendly, collaborative, well-established Engineering Projects Team based at our Jandakot and Malaga offices. This full-time, fixed-term (12 months) role is perfect for someone looking for steady work days and hours (hey, no FIFO ;)) with flexible work arrangements.

What You Will Do

Using your strong commercial acuity and technical knowledge, you will be responsible for developing, interpreting and applying engineering standards with particular emphasis on project management and performance improvement of ATCO’s gas distribution network.

Your contribution and responsibilities:

• Manages engineering projects across the project life cycle, including preparing robust business cases, planning and prioritising documents, preparing expenditure estimates and overseeing risk assessments and project closeout
• Works collaboratively with external design and construction parties, ensuring technical compliance, quality and document control.
• Develops and delivers project management plans, including tracking and forecasting project costs and scheduling.
• Provides engineering support for selecting and procuring equipment and components associated with the gas distribution network.
• Develops, reviews and implements technical drawings, documents, procedures and work instructions associated with the gas distribution network.
• Provides technical advice across the full spectrum of Project Engineering services, including operations, safety, compliance and design integrity related to the gas distribution network and associated assets.

What will you bring:

• University degree qualification in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil or Chemical).
• Solid experience in a similar Project Engineering environment supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Experience in high-pressure gas transmission and distribution pipelines would be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated commercial skill and experience with preparing project plans and cost controls.
• Knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying technical engineering standards in infrastructure networks.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Proven time management skills to effectively manage and deliver multiple priorities.
