Our Eastern Region, based in Murarrie are expanding their team and are seeking a full-time Project Engineer to provide technical support to and coordination of internal engineering teams, construction teams and clients.
The Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project QA/QC documentation and standards.
- Manage project technical deliverables.
- Ensure project execution aligns with scope and specifications.
- Plan, organise, and direct project completion.
- Coordinate with teams to meet project goals.
- Verify design outputs and participate in design reviews.
- Manage change process and adherence to engineering standards.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders and accurate documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and project interfaces.
- Ensure construction meets standards and manage risks.
- Lead project quality, budget, and schedule.
- Provide detailed project reporting and support.
- Comply with HSE and Quality policies.
- Evaluate and approve project expenses.
- Plan project resources.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 2+ years’ Project Engineer experience, leading technical teams.
- Strong project management fundamentals.
- Strong technical experience on complex electrical projects.
- Sound project finance and commercial understanding.
- Ability to work within budgets and schedules.
- Proficient in planning and executing complex EPC Projects.
- Skilled in resolving technical issues and leading teams effectively.
- Experienced in estimating/variation management.
- Ensure project deliverables meet technical standards.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements, Quality Systems, and legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Qualifications:
- Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia
- Leadership Training (can be developed internally)
- Finance Training (can be developed internally)
