About the role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in delivering a portfolio of 11 electrical sustaining capital projects throughout the CBH network.
Our Project Delivery Group is a collective force, combining expertise in construction, commercial, engineering, project management, studies, and rail. With this wealth of knowledge, we create and deliver projects that optimise safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity for CBH's supply chain infrastructure. Together, we act as a cohesive unit, driving the success of our supply chain and sustaining value for West Australian grain growers.
You will be working through the full project lifecycle on multiple electrical projects across the Sustaining Capital portfolio, supporting them all the way through project initiation, design, tender, construction, commissioning, and handover. You will work with a combination of internal parties such as CBH Engineering and Operations teams and external parties such as design consultants, construction contractors and local authorities to deliver this portfolio successfully and safely. This role is a great opportunity for a Projects professional to gain client-side project management experience over the full project lifecycle.

Collaborating with our stakeholders you will be responsible for:
Assessing and developing the project scope to meet the project requirements and provide value to CBH.
Preparing scopes of work, drawings and documentation for design and construction packages.
Preparing submissions for any third-party approvals required.
Supporting the Project Manager in tendering work packages and assessing tender proposals.
Reviewing design documentation and providing feedback to design consultants.
Guiding contractors through pre-mobilisation activities including providing feedback on HSE documentation, risk workshops, and interface planning.
Supporting contractors during construction works with organising site access, isolations, query responses, and commissioning.
Carrying out Operations Readiness activities including training, preparing documentation and test results for handover.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role for a Client, EPCM, or Principal Contractor.
Experience in delivering electrical, instrumentation and controls projects.
Experience in engaging and managing external parties for construction packages and design packages.
Risk assessment and management skills in particular construction and project delivery risk.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safety-first culture and building positive relationships with employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Ability to collaborate effectively and navigate complex relationships with diverse groups of individuals.
Strong team player with demonstrated values of Collaboration, Respect, Reliability, Sustainability, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.
