About the role
Role is permanent full time and is based in Clayton.
We require an enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our lively, proactive, and hardworking team. A competitive salary is on offer along with benefits, work life balance, and a supportive working environment.
Reporting to and working with our experienced Project Managers, you will develop your skill set and knowledge by working on a range of commercial projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take off from drawings to establish quantities
- Maintain correct filing system
- Project As Built, Handover Manuals, Operation & Maintenance manuals
- Drawing control
- Provision of high-level customer service and handling of inquiries from the client, customers, staff and subcontractors
- Data entry - processing of contract records, purchase orders and invoices
- Develop, review, and negotiate variations to contracts
- Coordinating and preparing client reports
- Managing end of month procedures
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in administration
- Intermediate IT skills particularly in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Highly motivated and take a high level of pride and personal ownership
- Ability to effectively balance competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to understand plans and specifications
- Be well presented with excellent customer service skills
- Be a forward thinker and problem solver while working unassisted
- Be able to write up job descriptions and detailed reports
- Be hardworking, reliable, and have a pleasant and professional attitude
