An opportunity currently exists for a Project Engineer for a 12-month fixed term contract with possible extension to join our North Fremantle site on a full-time basis. This position will be responsible for the design, project management and delivery of projects.
Key accountabilities include:
- Effectively manage a range of plant and equipment projects from design, procurement installation & commissioning within time and budgetary guidelines.
- Assist & prepare technical specifications & project related documentation.
- Identify & develop customer requirements including project scope, costings, and benefits.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders in relation to the project life cycle.
- Effectively liaise externally with vendors, suppliers, and subject matter experts.
- Participate in and promote a culture that adheres to the highest quality, GMP and Food Safety standards.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Adhere to and comply with all policies and procedures, adopting appropriate measures to manage and minimise environmental risks, including but not limited to such things as emergency response, waste disposal, energy and resource consumption, and spill containment.
- Participate in and promote a safety culture supporting the business to maintain a safe working environment.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Manufacturing).
- Proven experience managing medium to large Capital projects in manufacturing.
- The ability to communicate with and provide advice to internal stakeholders across the wider business.
- Ability to manage complex manufacturing projects.
- The ability to use AutoCAD and Project Management Software.
- A working proficiency with systems including Microsoft Office software.
