The Role

An excellent full-time permanent opportunity for a Project Engineer to support the business in capital engineering activities across the whole Bega network.

We are also accepting applications of Process Engineers.

This role involves up to 30% travel to our sites for the execution of project works.

Our Port Melbourne site is not only the home of Vegemite it is also the home of other Australian iconic products, such as Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts, Zoosh and Cream Cheese. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the development of capital project submissions and technical solutions required for successful business outcomes
• Coordinate and lead project teams for the delivery of capital projects, delivering excellence in execution (delivery of scope, budget, time)
• Champion the Commissioning, Qualification and Verification (CQV) approach to delivery and handover of projects in Bega
• Carry out a range of activities to support the development of Bega engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards
• Deliver required project outcomes by coordinating activities of contractors and suppliers, and acting as a primary point of contact for them

About you

• At least 3-5 years' engineering experience working in FMCG
• Process engineering design and commissioning experience - HAZOP, HACCP, CQV.
• Sound understanding, commitment and demonstration of safety concepts in a manufacturing environment.
• Should be able to demonstrate sound understanding of external/internal stakeholder management, and contractor management
• Has to be a team player and have good communication/presentation skills
