Local Council in process of undertaking a significant upgrade project, seeking experienced Project Engineers.

Currently, in the process of undertaking significant upgrade projects of existing sewer treatment plants over the next 3 years.
They are now seeking to add a variety of new roles including skilled Project Engineers, to their team throughout 2024 and 2025.
Your new role
Reporting to the senior Project Manager, your role as Project Engineer would see you responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of service and infrastructure projects.
You will also be responsible for:
- Reviewing all contractor submissions in a timely manner and provide comments to the Project Manager with recommendations including whether to accept, return with comments or reject
- Assisting in coordination between the project team, contractor and stakeholders, engaging with site personnel and other stakeholders as required
- Reviewing technical issues, research and assess options to resolve issues and make recommendations to the Project Manager
- Preparing, managing and updating project management documents, including safety, quality, environment, risk management and project execution plans
- Assisting the Project Manager with monitoring and maintenance of project controls including budget, program and registers
- Utilising Aconex online platform for field inspections, correspondence and document workflows
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or other relevant discipline OR demonstrated equivalent qualifications including relevant extensive experience.
- Previous experience in successfully delivering water and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to produce work of a high quality within established timeframes, including a high level of written documentation.
- Highly motivated person with strong communication skills to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and facilitate the design and development of solutions for the delivery of water and wastewater services.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian Codes and Standards
- Current C class Driver's Licence
- General Construction Induction Card/ White card
- Working at heights (or willing to obtain)
- Confined space (or willing to obtain)
- Hepatitis A & B immunity
