POSITION OBJECTIVE
We are looking for a Site Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve. The role will be based out onsite as individual project requirements with the home base back in Adelaide.
You will coordinate with contractors, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities. Aiming at assuring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.
Location: Adelaide-based when not onsite (various locations across Australia with possibility overseas), travel required.
Job Type: Full-time, with periodic travel away from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate project activities and resolve conflicts.
- Implementing project plans, developing ITPs and overseeing the ITPs.
- Assisting the Project Manager with project forecasting, progress reports and reporting.
- Completing risk assessments, safety instructions and safe work method statements.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, completing quality documentation and checking construction work to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Create BOMs and procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, resolving complex engineering issues as they arise.
- Maintain effective communication channels with all project coordinator and stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and changes.
- Coordinate project closeout activities along with support of QA onsite.
Qualifications:
- Degree, Diploma or Trade in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role, with a track record of successfully managing engineering projects.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
