About the role
The role will work with various clients to develop, design, implement, and close out various capital projects and will predominantly work independently.
The various accountabilities of the role are:
- Develop process, packaging, & equipment designs to meet client requirements
- Management of client & supplier relationships, including timely resolution of design issues, and defect items
- Management of contractors performing site works
- Commissioning and start up of new/modified equipment
- Control of assigned capital budgets
Skills and experience
The role will require someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong project management and technical food & beverage process or packaging engineering capability.
- Strong leadership expertise by ensuring all personnel on projects are coordinating activities and delivering to plan.
- Change management - ability to think, communicate and influence change at a project level
- Constructive two way engagement with all stakeholders.
- An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises (do what they say they will)
The minimum experience required for this role is:
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline (Process, chemical, or mechanical preferred)
- Project & contractor management experience
- Minimum 5-7 years professional engineering experience
