Project Engineer | Orange Location | NSW Government
- Location: Orange
- Pay Rate: $900 - $1,000 per day + Super
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months with likely extensions
The primary purpose of this role is to contribute to the development, implementation, and management of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet the objectives of the section.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Oversight: Provide project management assistance for specific projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to scope objectives.
- Contract Management: Support the control, administration, and delivery of contracts. Assist the Superintendent's representative on selected contracts to ensure effective contract work delivery.
- Project Briefs: Develop project briefs for Professional Service providers and internal service units to manage the design and investigation process, supporting high-quality design.
- Procedure Implementation: Implement procedures, guidelines, processes, and practices to maintain high standards of WH&S, Industrial Relations, environmental management, and quality on projects/contracts.
- Reporting and Research: Provide timely and accurate project reports and briefing papers for management. Develop and maintain quality records, and conduct research to support effective project management.

- Project Management: Knowledge and experience in project management principles, including technical aspects of civil engineering materials, equipment, and techniques.
- Education: A four-year engineering degree (Civil, Structural, or related) from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Licensing: A current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver’s license and the willingness to work outside normal working hours and travel occasionally.
