Project Engineer (Process)

Based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, this a 6-month long contract opportunity for a highly skilled Project or Process Engineer to join with one of Australia’s largest pharmaceutical companies. The role will be base at their greenfield manufacturing facility.  

Main responsibilities (reporting to the process lead):
 

• Leading and delivering the project objectives whilst controlling scope changes to meet quality, budget and schedule.
• Ensuring functionality according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), safety and environmental requirements during all phases of the project (Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification)
• All aspects of equipment commissioning and process design qualification
• Providing technical leadership and direction with respect to the managed area of responsibility
• Collaborating with others to contribute to a high performing culture.
• Assisting management of cost drivers across the team to ensure an efficient, improvement focussed operation.

• Excellent understanding of the process and engineering systems within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG or similar highly regulated industry
• At least 3-5 years' engineering or construction project management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and deliver a project.
• A demonstrated ability to lead and work closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver large or highly complex projects.
• Financial experience in managing budgetary responsibilities.
• A good understanding of quality, risk and contract management processes and procedures
• Ability to approach problem solving in a proactive and consultative manner.
• An undergraduate degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, such as Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
• The ability to commence work immediately for a 6 month period (417 Visas welcome to apply).
