Senior Project Engineer

Our client is a leading renewable energy developer dedicated to creating a sustainable future. We specialize in innovative projects that harness the power of renewable resources to drive positive change. Currently, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a 2-year contract basis, focusing on an exciting battery storage project. This role has the potential to go permanent at the completion of the project. 
 
Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of our cutting-edge battery storage project. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of the project from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering design and development activities for the battery storage project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and contractors to drive project milestones and deliverables.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to inform project decision-making.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Oversee the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and quality assurance.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Monitor project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in Project Engineering within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on battery storage projects OR large infrastructure projects 
• Strong technical knowledge of battery storage systems, including design, installation, and commissioning.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and decision-making skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
