Due to our rapid growth, we are currently on the lookout for a Project Engineer to continue developing our team.
The Role:
As a Project Engineer you will be working closely with our management team in variety of Protective Coating projects within infra structure, construction and mining environment, from preparing proposal and tender submissions, to project execution and quality assurance.
You will also be working within Australian Standards, and other relevant standards, such as NACE (AMPP), ICorr, ISO, CSWIP, etc.
This role is a hybrid of Perth and Site based, as you will be closely involved from the project preparation stage to the site execution and project close-out.
We are flexible in this regard and would be happy to discuss the split between your time on site and your time in Perth.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical).
- 1-2 years' exposure to Protective Coating projects within civil construction, mining, or infrastructure projects.
- Graduate Engineer with post grad experience within similar industry will also be considered.
- Candidates must have a clean National Police Clearance and be able to pass pre-employment medicals and D&A screen.
- Experience in assessing RFQ, technical specifications and drawings, as well as preparing scope of work, TQ, and proposals.
- Experience in Project Management, including project planning, costing and scheduling.
- Experience in asset preservation or corrosion management are highly regarded.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Projects, Excel, Words)
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written.
- Can Handle Pressure
- Experience in liaising with clients and sub-contractors.
- A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running.
- Above average problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels from the coal face to the boardroom
- Ability to manage competing priorities and think on your feet are the essential qualities that will make you excel in this role.
