About the roleAs a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements.Duties

• Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline, and ensure adherence to project deliverables.
• Coordinate and manage project resources, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution.
• Conduct feasibility studies, analyze data, and provide technical recommendations to support project decision-making.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure project designs meet industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate project delays or budget overruns.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear and effective project communication and resolve any project-related issues.
• Prepare and present project reports, including project status updates, budget analysis, and technical documentation, to stakeholders and senior management.

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• Previous experience within a similar role - water infrastructure, civil (drainage) or SMP
• Exposure working within a mine site environment
• Previous experience working on the contractor side of projects would be advantageous
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally within a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
