The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Engineer (E&I) to join our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time basis.
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will play a key role in providing Brownfield Engineering solutions supported by technical document preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Control System code design, implementation, FAT and SAT.
- Ensure engineering and design documentation prepared by APA or an external engineering design contractor is compatible with statutory regulations, applicable standards, Customer requirements and APA processes, procedures and Standards for site implementation.
- Review and preparation of engineering work packs, Scopes of Work for tender, purchase and site construction/commissioning works.
- Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and handover to operations. This would also include PLC, SCADA, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System commissioning.
- Interface with site operations personnel, vendors and contractors during design, construct and commissioning works.
- Willingness to work at remote sites.
Your background
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience (Required).
- Substantial experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission assets, power (gas turbine, solar, wind, HVDC) or similar industries.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards (such as AS/NZS 3000), codes and statutory requirements.
- Some site or commissioning, installation experience would be highly regarded.
- Effective communicator, and the ability to work closely with a multidiscipline team.
- Must be a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland.

Infrastructure Projects is a multi-discipline design and delivery team, covering engineering and project management. The team delivers projects across APA's asset base from natural gas transmission, power generation, renewables and electricity transmission.
