Due to continued growth; NRW Civil and Mining have anopportunity for an experienced Project/QualityEngineer to join the team at our newest Civil Project. Thesuccessful candidate will have an extensive background workingwithin the Civil industry and assist with delivering the Project toa successful completion.
To be considered for this position as a Project/QualityEngineer; you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Tertiary degree in Engineering or a similar relevant degree
- Previous working experience as a Project or Quality Engineer within the Civil industry
- Experience with Earthworks within the Civil industry
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Quality audit experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current Australian driver's licence
As a Project/Quality Engineer reporting to the ProjectManager, you will be responsible for but not limitedto:
- Scheduling preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the Project
- Managing performance of subcontractors
- Reviewing all works are carried out as per Project quality assurance requirements
- Reviewing NRW systems and practices to improve efficiency
- Ensuring Project is completed according to approved plans
- Maintaining registers as required
- Supporting the Project team as required in relation to quality and in particular assist in the timely submission of the MDR
- Preparing, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering tasks
- Coordinating all activities and tasks related to document control and company archiving
- Auditing and traffic management performance
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Providing assistance to site team with technical issues to gain approval for design changes
