Job description

Project Estimator needed for a food catering equipment provider in Darwin. The role is for capital equipment sales for the hospitality industry.

The Company
Our client is a commercial food catering equipment provider in Darwin. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join their team in Darwin.
The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Estimator to join our client's team in Darwin. This role will look after all commercial capital equipment sales for the hospitality industry.
The Role
The Project Estimator is responsible for:
  • Company and Team Culture
    • To help people and businesses succeed through knowledge and experience, whilst ensuring honesty, integrity, and reliability are maintained at all times.
    • Take pride in customer service, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to uphold the shared values of the company
  • Document Preparation: Prepare all documents in accordance with the company's ‘Document Preparation Procedure’.
  • Email Correspondence
    • Manage all incoming and outgoing emails as per the company's Email Procedure
    • Forward emails if required to the correct team member
  • Filing: Ensure all documents both electronic and physical are filed as per the company's Filing procedure.
  • Housekeeping
    • Ensure personal desk is clean and tidy at all times
    • Ensure office rubbish is removed to warehouse bins daily
    • Ensure the showroom is clean and tidy at all times
    • Ensure the company kitchen and Bathroom are clean and tidy at all times – Linen to be given to the Office Manager for cleaning.
  • Support: Provide administrative support to other divisions as required
  • Telephone calls
    • Transfer to the appropriate team members
    • Respond to customer enquiries
    • Take messages where required
    • Complete request for quotation form when required
Role Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Customers
    • Project Estimator for all capital equipment sales for the hospitality industry
    • Create and maintain accurate Customer information
    • Provide a Company Account Application to new customers requesting an account
    • Target market – Hospitality industry, Construction company, Mining company, Designers, Architects, Northern Territory Government, Councils, Defence, and Defence contractors
    • Request Google Reviews and testimonials from satisfied Customers
  • Projects
    • Control and oversee all aspects of the project through each stage such as: tendering, suppler quoting, receiving PO’s, manufacture, deliver, installation, Subcontractor management, QA, Manuals, Reporting, reviews, and cost analysis
    • Perform take-offs and estimations for company's projects
    • Identify when variations are required, priced and seek approval
    • Assist with project progress claims and provide weekly Reports on all projects.
    • Ensure all accepted projects are set up following the company's ‘Approved Projects procedure’ and providing all plans, updated quotations, and other related documents are stored correctly electronically.
    • Ensure all admin staff ready and understand the project's contracts and RFI’s are completed.
    • Manage and oversee subcontractor performance and Quality of work meet or exceeds company Standards.
  • Quotations
    • Prepare all quotations in accordance with the company's ‘Sales Procedure’.
    • Check all cost calculations provided to ensure accuracy
    • Provide formal quotations to customers as required.
    • Complete tender applications as required
    • Follow up all individually generated quotations as per the company's ‘Quotation Follow Up Procedure’
    • Ensure all information gathered during the quoting process is store and capture on the Quote I.E – freight quotes, Supplier quotes, and supplier discounts
    • Ensure all relevant information regarding accepted quotes is pasted on the Sale Coordinator.
  • Sales
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets assigned with the correct gross profit
    • Develop strategies and monitor tender website to successfully gain projects through tenders
    • Answer all inquiries or direct to appropriate team member
    • Assist customers with products and recommendations
    • Provide assistance with stock control and picking for customer order where required
    • Process all sales in Unleashed, prospect and Neto.
  • Unleashed / Prospect
    • Maintain and input accurate customer information
    • Enter and manage quotations and ensure correct template layout is chosen prior to sending to customer
    • Manage customer relations and communication through CRM
    • Create and manage the task in CRM
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any tasks that are given to you by the Manager or company Director that is within your capability and knowledge to perform.
  • Reporting: Ensure Project weekly progress reports are complete.
